It's nothing new that New Balance has gained a notable presence in people's lives. Whether in clothing, footwear or even football equipment, as is the case with FC Porto. That's why we're going to tell you the story of New Balance and at the same time show you its most iconic models.
Going back to 1906, in Boston, Massachusetts, the New Balance Arch Company was born, the name chosen by its founder, William Riley. It is believed that William thought of this name while watching chickens in the backyard. Since then he decided to find a way to maintain perfect balance . Inspiration often comes from the place we least expect, right? 😅
50 years later the brand changed its name to New Balance Athletic Shoe Company , and also changed management. In 1960, the brand created the first running shoe with a wavy sole, called “ Trackster ”. These shoes were adopted by athletic teams at American colleges such as MIT and Boston University.
For the second time, the brand changed its name to New Balance Inc., which it still maintains today, after Jim Davis , its current owner, purchased it. Taking a giant leap in time, we now go to 2015, the year in which the brand began sponsoring football teams, such as FC Porto and Liverpool FC , through its subsidiary, Warrior. The partnership with FC Porto continued, but as New Balance. Roma and Lille are other “teams sponsored by the brand. In addition to football, the brand has partnerships with teams from all sports and athletes from five continents.
New Balance offers completely innovative technology, with gel inserts in the sole, super comfortable heels in a wide variety of sizes. The offer includes, in addition to footwear, sweatshirts, coats, tracksuits, t-shirts, etc.
